The
Zoo is open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's
Day. Visitors have one additional hour after the gates close to
complete their visit. However, some animals may not be on exhibit
after the gates close.

Parking
$5.00 per vehicle. Members must present a Toledo
Zoo membership card to receive free parking in the Anthony Wayne
Trail lot ONLY!
$10.00
for RV's, campers, motor coaches or any other vehicle that takes
up more than one parking space. Please note that you may be asked
to park in the rear of the parking lot.

(Visitors are encouraged to reserve a motorized
scooter prior to your visit. Reservations can be made by
phone at 419-389-6561. A limited number of scooters are available
for rental.)

Guest
Policies
For the well-being of our animals and to help provide a safe, enjoyable
and family-friendly experience for all Zoo guests, please observe
the following policies:
•We ask that you please refrain from smoking while visiting.
However,
we do provide designated smoking areas within the Zoo.
Effective July 20, 2007, The Toledo Zoo became a smoke-free
facility. Smoking will permitted outside Zoo gates. We
apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but these steps
will help protect our animals and our visitors.
• Please do not feed the animals. They are fed carefully balanced
diets, and any additional food can make them sick.
• Solicitation for any purpose is not permitted.
• No dogs or pets are permitted on Zoo grounds with the exception
of assistance dogs for physically challenged people.
• Alcoholic beverages cannot be brought on Zoo grounds due
to state law.
• Shirts and footwear must be worn at all times.
• To prevent disease transmission, such as E. coli or Salmonella,
from farm animals to humans, it is strongly recommended that visitors
wash their hands after touching animals in the Children’s
Zoo. Hand-washing stations are located at either entrance to the
Children’s Zoo.
• Commercial photography or filming is prohibited without
the prior consent of the Zoo’s Marketing department.
• The Toledo Zoo is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
• No rain checks or refunds will be issued.
The following are not permitted on Zoo grounds:
• Firearms
• Glass containers
• Grills and hibachis
• Laser pointers
• Drinking straws
• Balloons
• Skateboards, bicycles, scooters, roller skates, rollerblades,or
wheeled sneakers or Heelys®.
• Climbing on barriers or walls
• Radios, CD players, etc.
