Range and habitat: Bali mynahs are found on the island of Bali in
Indonesia in forest areas and savannas.
Natural diet: This species eats fruit and insects.
Size / weight range: Femalebali mynahs are 8.5 inches tall,
and males are 9 inches tall. They are mostly white with a long drooping
chest and blue bare skin around the eyes. There are no dimorphic differences
in sexes.
Interesting facts: The Bali mynah is the only native bird
species of the Island of Bali.
They are critically endangered and close to becoming extinct in the wild
due to the loss of habitat and illegal trapping.
