Not only is The Toledo Zoo home to over 6,000 mammals, fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds and invertebrates, representing over 750 species, but our innovative exhibits also get you up close to many of your favorites!

Visit the Arctic Encounter® and get face to face with a polar bear, or stop by the Hippoquarium® and watch as a massive hippo floats gracefully by! Interactive learning stations throughout the Zoo make the visit even more engaging (and educational).

Get EdZOOcated!
Watch for staff members or volunteers around the Zoo. They're offering additional information at the exhibits, handling live animals that you can see up close, or giving you the opportunity to inspect a biofact item. With an assortment of small mammals, birds, and reptiles, the EdZOOcation staff can bring the animals to your learning activity whether it's at the zoo or at your school!
