These programs are available for ages 4
years and older.
All van visits are free to schools, hospitals,
libraries, and nursing homes in Lucas County.
There is a $25.00 fee for schools and organizations
outside of Lucas County, plus a mileage fee of $1.00 per mile.
Schools and organizations must be within a 30-mile radius
of The Toledo Zoo.
The EdVenture Van is available weekdays
except Wednesday between the hours of 9:30 a.m.and 3:00 p.m.
Weekend and evening hours are also available on a limited
basis with adequate notice.

If you have a topic in mind, but don't
see it listed, please call and ask about it. We are happy
to develop special programs if they are scheduled six weeks
in advance.
Register early; these programs fill quickly.
When scheduling your program, please have the following information
ready:

and telephone number of school, organization or contact
person
• Program
or service requested
• Date and
time desired
Programs must be scheduled at least two
weeks in advance, but we recommend scheduling your EdVenture
Van Program as far in advance as possible.
Programs for schools within Lucas County
that are listed in the Ohio Educational Directory are free
during school hours (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.).
Programs for convalescent centers, libraries,
hospitals, senior centers, and special-needs organizations
within Lucas County are free. For organizations not listed
above or for any organizations outside of Lucas County there
is a $25.00 fee for programs. There is also a $1.00 fee per
mile round trip for programs conducted outside of Lucas County.
The Zoo Van does not bring live animals
when the temperatures are too cold or too hot. We reserve
the right to cancel and reschedule a program due to staff
illness or inclement weather.
A maximum of two hours (up to four 30-minute
programs) can be scheduled per day. Students must be four
years or over in age. Please schedule for groups of approximately
30 students. |
