Wild, Untamed

"Poetry is thoughts that breathe, and words that burn." ~ Thomas Gray
If you love animals, think nature is amazing and enjoy creative writing, this is precisely the right class for you! The diversity and beauty in nature provide a huge resource from which to create poems. Zoo Educators/instructors will help to open new ways to "capture" animals in poetic style - whether silly or sad, using form or free verse, limericks or haikus. Student poets will visit live animals for inspiration and then learn information that will help them to share unique insights with others.
Some poems will be chosen to earn special TZ recognitions!
