5K race/walk at 8:30 a.m. • 1K kids' race at 9:45
a.m.
LOCATION:
The Toledo Zoo
Amphitheatre. Participants please enter through the Anthony
Wayne Trail entrance.
COURSE:
All races start and finish near the
Zoo Amphitheatre, using both city streets and walkways
in the Zoo.
• Courses are accurately measured. Mile splits
are marked and there is one water station on the 5K
course.
• NEW this year: The 5K race timing and scoring
will be by disposable timing chips for faster results!
AWARDS
5K RUN/WALK:
• Trophy and free Zoo membership to overall top
three male/female, overall master (40+) male/female
in the 5K.
• Age group awards (at least three deep) male
and female 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29,
30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,
70-74, 75-79, 80+
• The walk is non-competitive and not timed.
AWARDS
KIDS’ 1K (12 & under):
• Overall male/female receives a trophy, plus
each participant receives a finisher's gift.
• Plus, Fisher-Price presents Diego! He'll be
on hand to congratulate kids as they cross the finish
line of the 1K race!
SHIRTS, REFRESHMENTS,
& OTHER INFORMATION:
• All participants preregistered by early registration
deadline will receive a Toledo Zoo Dart Frog Dash t-shirt.
• A limited number of shirts will be available
at late registration.
• Snacks, fruit, sports drinks and water at finish;
one water station on 5K course.
ENTRY FEES AND REGISTRATION
DEADLINES:
• 5K RUN/WALK: Pre-registered entrants must be
postmarked or online by Sunday, May 10, 2009: $18.00.
• Late registration; $21.00 (shirt not guaranteed);
Online late registration is available until Thursday,
May 14 at www.toledozoo.org.
• Race day registration: $27.00 (shirt not guaranteed).
• KIDS’ 1K: Postmarked or online by Sunday,
May 10, 2009: $7.00 (includes shirt).
• Late registration and race day registration:
$3.00 (no shirt).
• Fees payable to The Toledo Zoo. Mail to: The
Toledo Zoo P.O. Box 140130, Toledo, OH 43614.
• All Zoo members receive $1.00 off the registration
fee for each participant registered.

if you register as a Toledo Zoo Member, please bring
your membership card when you pick up your packet
for verification of active membership status.
