Food Service
Carnivore Cafe: Employees of the Cafe provide fast, friendly service in a cafeteria-style setting.
Positions:

Catering Food Production: Employees prepare food for a variety of in-house catered events.
Positions:
Picnics, Box lunches, Weddings, Dinner Parties
Job Functions:
Dishwashers, Cold Prep, Hot Prep, Grill, Clean-up
 
Catering: Responsible for taking care of the client(s) and running catered events.
Positions:
Banquets, Picnics, Dinners, Weddings
Job Functions:
Set-up, Clean-Up, Tear-Down, Servers, Bartenders
 
Concessions: Fast-paced food service with high visitor interaction and accurate cash handling.

Concession stands, Birthday parties, Vending

Grounds
Grounds: Employees maintain zoo aesthetics, landscaping, bedding areas, and general zoo grounds. .Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver s license.

Roamers, Horticulture, LBC lights installations
Job Functions:
Mowing, Planting, Clean-up, Trash collection
     
Membership
Membership Sales: Employees must be able to approach visitors and sell zoo memberships.
Wage plus commission.
Positions:
On-grounds sales staff
Job Functions:
Approach visitors, sell benefits of a Toledo Zoo Membership
     
Merchandise
Merchandise: Employees assist visitors with merchandise selections, provide outstanding customer .service, and accurate cash handling.
Positions:
Gift Shop, Gift Carts, Rentals, Photo Opportunties
Job Functions:
Stocking, Cashier, Cleaning, Customer Service
     
Park Operations
Park Operations: Employees take care of a variety of visitor needs throughout the zoo.

Positions:
Admissions, Parking, Rides, Patio Roamers, Greeters, Cashiers, Ride Operator
Job Functions:
Picnic area clean-up, Concert/Event set-up and clean-up, Parking attendant
     
Warehouse
Warehouse: Employees must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
Positions:
Stocking, Stock selection, Drivers, Unloaders
Job Functions:
Stocking shelves, Unload Shipments, Deliveries within Zoo
     
Concessions North #2 Supervisor

Part-time #2 Supervisor position is available for an outgoing, energetic person. This position is responsible for food preparation and presentation, managing general concession duties, which include inventory, scheduling and training staff. Requires knowledge of food sanitation guidelines, great cooking skills, excellent communication  and at least 2-3 years supervisory food service experience. Must be available weekends.
 

     
Group Sales Assistant

Part-time position available for an outgoing, articulate individual to assist Group Events Manager in multiple event bookings for parties, banquets, and meetings as well as advance ticket sales. This position has a flexible 8 – 5 schedule with some weekend work. Some sales experience is helpful, but not required. Must be able to work under pressure, have outstanding phone etiquette, be detail oriented, computer literate and have the ability to deal with a wide variety of people.
