| The
Fisher-Price Children's Zoo opened in 2006 with an entirely new
look and a whole new sense of fun!
The
theme of the Children’s Zoo is “Animals A to Zoo,”
an alphabet theme that introduces educational aspects into this
exhibit in an exciting and colorful way. Thanks to materials donated
by Lowe’s, visitors can expect to see a more vivid Children’s
Zoo with new signs and hands-on interactive features to engage,
entertain and educate. The new theme also allows the Children’s
Zoo staff to incorporate their diverse collection of animals into
their presentations.
Known
as the Barnyard of the Zoo, the Children's Zoo features guinea pigs,
goats, alpacas, pigs, chickens, owls, and, of course, Eddie the
Education Dog.
Although
the children can't feed the animals, they can touch them and learn
about the balance of domestic and wild animals that are found on
the farm.
The
Children's Zoo is open Memorial Day-Labor Day.
