The Exhibit Guide Program supports
the Zoo’s educational needs in areas throughout the Zoo.
Exhibit Guides may select one exhibit of interest in which to
provide informal one-on-one educational interactions. Available
exhibit areas include:
Once an exhibit area of preference has been established, Exhibit
Guides will educate the public by:

specific exhibit

In addition, Exhibit Guides will provide
general support to our visitors and make sure that everyone
has an enjoyable experience at The Toledo Zoo.
Exhibit Guides will receive an orientation covering general
Zoo policies and general science education topics, as well
as the benefits of volunteering at the Toledo Zoo. In addition,
Exhibit Guides will attend a training program identifying
the major topics of importance related to their specific exhibit
of preference. Finally, Exhibit Guides will receive basic
training on informal public interaction. These training sessions
will be offered throughout March and April, with both weekday
and weekend offerings.
