The Toledo Zoo’s mammal collection features over 50 species from six continents around the globe. The goal of this collection is to inspire the public to care about these animals and understand their importance and place within the natural world. Each species acts as an ambassador for their wild counterparts and is a means of educating the public about species that are unique, rare, awe inspiring, or have great conservation messaging.
