Join the Toledo Zoo in celebrating Earth Day and our mission of being advocates for wildlife and conserving the natural world during Party for the Planet!
Drop off your recyclable goods – including hard-to-recycle items– between 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Anthony Wayne Trail parking lot. Admission/parking charges do not apply for those just dropping of recyclables.
The Zoo is a perfect place to spend a great "green" day with your family! Deliver your recyclable items, then stay and learn about environmentally-friendly initiatives, conservation efforts, and enjoy animal demonstrations and activities across the Zoo.
The Northwest Ohio Damage Prevention Council is partnering with OHIO811 and Columbia Gas of Ohio again for this year’s event. The council will donate and plant a tree to help us kick-off our Earth Day celebration. Check out OHIO811’s interactive, educational trailer here at the Zoo and learn about the utility lines located underground, in your own backyard. Meet their mascots and pick up some fun giveaways as a reminder for parents to “Contact OHIO811 Before You Dig!”
