Ready, set, let’s roll! Get glowing on this 8-mile slow bicycle ride, starting at the Zoo and rolling south on River Road, then back to the Zoo for a behind-the-scenes look before ending at Main Plaza. After the ride, enjoy food and beverage specials, listen to live music around fire pits, visit nocturnal animals and flashlight fish in the aquarium, or take a stroll to preview the Harvest Fest pumpkin displays.

Get glowing at any age

Riders ages 12+ are invited to participate in this family-friendly event for the 8-mile slow roll. Riders ages 3+ can participate in a 1-mile course on Toledo Zoo grounds.

Both of these twilight treks are led by the Toledo Zoo security team on bicycle and a support vehicle will follow to ensure rider safety.

Where do I park?

2700 Broadway until full, then the overflow lots just north will be available.  Street parking may also be available.

Are children permitted to participate?

Kids ages 3-11 are welcome in the designated kids ride on grounds, led by our security team. Parents may accompany younger children by walking along! 

Youth ages 12+ are welcome to participate in the full 8-mile ride, accompanied by an adult.

Bike trailers are allowed for younger kids.

Kids and their chaperones who have participated in the kids ride may stay and enjoy Zoo grounds while the adults ride at 7pm. Kids must be be accompanied by an adult during this time.

What kind of equipment is allowed in the Kids ride?

Tricycles, and bicycles with training wheels are allowed on this ride.  Please, no scooters or 4-wheel type of equipment.

Who leads the route?

Our own Toledo Zoo security team will lead the group on bicycle.  A support vehicle will follow the pack, in case any assistance is needed.

Is this a race?

This is a casual group ride, no racing please.

Are helmets and lights required?

Yes, helmets and headlights/taillights are required to ensure a safe ride for all.

Can I decorate my bicycle?

Absolutely!  Glow attire and accessories are encouraged, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the safety of operating your bike or others around you.

Do I need to pay for Zoo admission and parking?

Admission and parking are included at no extra cost in this special after-hours event!

When and where do I pick up my packet?
